Ledcor's Technical Division (LTS Solutions Ltd) has an immediate need for a qualified Rigger to fill the Telecom Wireless Rigger - Leadhand position for Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta. LTS Solutions Ltd is a leader in providing telecommunication support services across North America. We specialize in providing maintenance, engineering and emergency restoration support to major telecommunication carriers across Canada and the USA.

The LTS Wireless Division is capable of building and maintaining Wireless sites for Broadband, Microwave and Cellular providers. This Division has the capability of building wireless sites from the ground up, working on existing or new towers and rooftops for our clients. Leveraging our specialty trained LTS Technicians across Canada; we also offer the installation and commissioning of wireless equipment and emergency restoration in support of wireless communication carriers across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Candidate is expected to have an in depth knowledge of the construction of wireless sites and has worked on rooftop and tower sites
• Required to have tower climbing experience and training such as competent person rescue course riggers, or equivalent
• Responsible for scheduling and organizing a workforce of Riggers on a daily basis
• Understanding of wireless construction methods such as a repelling on the side of a building, installing cable tray and conduits, antenna mounts, tower steel, pinwheels, antenna installs, transmission lines, elliptical cable and various wireless build requirements
• Experience in stacking monopoles, building lattice towers, installing pinwheels and heavy duty tower construction
• Capability to read drawings and interpret their concept into actual on hands delivery of site
• Basic RF understanding of bend radius and guidelines to installing and clipping coax cables
• Ensures all the Riggers are utilizing the proper inspection and personal safety equipment

Requirements

• Successful completion of CPR and First Aid course
• Able to identify and select cables, ropes, blocks, and tackle by weight and size of load to be moved
• Able to perform plumb and tension techniques
• Familiar with Ginpole use
• All applicants must hold a valid class 5 Drivers license

Work Conditions

• Willing to travel across Alberta as required.
• The successful candidate may be required to work extended work hours as the need arises, for example: in the case of emergencies at a work site.
