Function/Purpose:

The Collicutt Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and leadership driven individual who can deliver quality recreation and leisure services for the enjoyment and satisfaction of the community and Collicutt staff. We are currently recruiting Fitness and Wellness Leader 1 who can lead programs as required and has the opportunity to assist in organizing, monitoring and evaluating programs.

As the successful candidate you will lead Fitness Centre orientations for patrons, and develop individual strength and conditioning programs for clients. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standard in cleanliness and safety through monitoring patron behaviour (i.e. safe equipment use) and performing basic custodial and maintenance tasks in the Leisure and Wellness Centre.

The ideal candidate will have keen desire to work in Health and Wellness, excellent leadership skills, and a friendly and positive attitude towards the public, facility users and co-workers.

Job Requirements:

• 
  
  Grade 12 or equivalent.

• 
  
  AFLCA Certification in Group or Resistance training is required.

• 
  
  Standard First Aid.

• 
  
  Possession of a valid Alberta Driver’s License.

• 
  
  Exceptional customer service skills.

• 
  
  Demonstrated high level of verbal, written, and listening skills.

• 
  
  Proven leadership skills.

• 
  
  Commitment to the City’s Cornerstone Values.

Hours of Work: Hours of work as scheduled with no guarantee of hours. May be scheduled anytime between 5:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., Sunday to Saturday, including evenings and weekends.
